Rocket Sanders, too, hadn’t had the last couple weeks he wished.
And, like his teams fortunes, that was changing Saturday against Ole Miss.
Sanders scored Arkansas’ fourth touchdown of the first half with 2:20 left, giving the Hogs a 28-6 lead on 20-yard scamper.
To that point, Sanders, who led the SEC in rushing most of the season until entering this week, had 146 yards on 15 carries. He had had just 106 yards on 29 carries in Arkansas’ last two games, losses to Liberty and LSU.
Saturday, his touchdown opened the floodgates after KJ Jefferson threw the Hogs’ first three scores. Not that individual goals mean all that much, but Sanders is playing his way back onto All-SEC first-team consideration.
