WATCH: The best of the Celtics’ 2019-20 – Gordon Hayward’s playmaking

Boston Celtics veteran forward Gordon Hayward has long been one of the better playmaking forwards in the NBA.

Boston Celtics veteran forward Gordon Hayward has built a reputation as an excellent playmaker going back many years before he joined the Celtics in the summer of 2017.

With a career average of 3.5 assists per game — more than many full-time point guards in the NBA — being an option as a distributor isn’t just a wrinkle in the Indiana native’s game, it’s an integral part of it.

Though the catastrophic injury to his ankle at the start of his tenure with Boston has lessened the frequency of his cuts to the basket, he’s still drawing the attention of opposing defenses when he does, able to dish to an open shooter when he’s doubled or tripled near the cup.

And the Butler product possesses elite court vision as more of a traditional distributor as well, able to find teammates in position to make a quick play many others might not even see.

Watch the video embedded above to see all of Hayward’s best playmaking of the 2019-20 season so far while wait for him to dust off the dimes down in Disney.
