After a very long rehabilitative process from a wrist injury sustained in the 2020 NBA Playoffs followed be a lengthy stay in the league’s health and safety protocols, Boston Celtics second-year shooting guard Romeo Langford made his season debut on April 2, 2021.
The Indiana product has had a solid month filled with 10 games he’s played in since, averaging 2.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists across 16.1 minutes per game while providing an important boost to the Celtics bench on defense. While he has increasingly had to compete with rookie small forward Aaron Nesmith for minutes on the wing, there will always be playing time available for Langford with the dedication he demonstrates on the defensive end of the ball.
And as the Indiana native shakes off the funk of a positive COVID diagnosis, we should hopefully see some growth on the other end of the ball as well.
