WATCH: the best of Boston’s Gordon Hayward in the ‘bubble’ (so far)

Boston’s Gordon Hayward has emerged as one of the best players in the Disney NBA restart at exactly the right moment for the Celtics.

For the first time since Boston Celtics veteran forward Gordon Hayward has donned the green and white, he’s looked like the player the Celtics hoped they’d signed before his horrific ankle injury forced the Butler product into a long and difficult rehabilitation.

But now that rehab is in the rear view mirror and Hayward is looking aggressive as ever.

The Indiana native has been one of the best players in the Disney restart ‘bubble,’ averaging 18.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game while shooting a very healthy 38.3 % from beyond the arc, 50 % overall, and 85.5 % from the charity stripe.

With All-Star forward Jayson Tatum picking up where he left off before the hiatus, point guard Kemba Walker’s knee looking solid, and Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart and Daniel Theis all looking as deadly as they did before the break, the Celtics find themselves legitimate contenders in the 2020 NBA Playoffs.

Watch the video embedded above to see all of the best of Hayward’s play in the Disney restart to date — and try not to get too impatient for the Celtics’ postseason to begin while you do.
