Houston Texans quarterbacks Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills showed off their passing skills Monday during training camp practice inside the bubble at Houston Methodist Training Center.
Taylor and Mills threw passes down the right sideline to Chris Conley, Jordan Veasy, Brandin Cooks, and rookie Nico Collins among others.
Conley is a wideout in particular that Taylor has formed chemistry with throughout offseason workouts and training camp.
“I trust Conley on the field,” Taylor said after the Texans’ 26-7 preseason win over the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 14. “We spent a lot of time this offseason. We actually live in the same neighborhood. We got some time to spend together. He went out there and made some plays, some contested catches. He is big target with strong hands.
“If you put it around him, more than likely he is going to come down with the catch. I am impressed by him. We need to continue to compete and make plays because that will definitely help our offense moving forward.”
The Texans were practicing inside the bubble due to lightning being in the area.
