WATCH: Texans QB C.J. Stroud throws first career touchdown pass

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud threw his first career touchdown pass against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud finally got on the scoreboard.

The No. 2 overall pick threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to receiver Nico Collins on a third-and-6 in the first quarter against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday afternoon at NRG Stadium.

The Texans had fallen down 14-0 early, and Stroud even had a lost fumble that contributed to a short Colts scoring drive. However, the former Ohio State product rebounded and found a former Michigan Wolverine to get the Texans back in the game.

Stroud told reporters Sept. 13 he was looking forward to the home opener at NRG Stadium.

“I’m excited to finally try to stamp something special in Houston that we’ve been working really hard, and I’m excited to see everyone come out and support, because we need them,” said Stroud. “Just like they’re wanting us to be great, hopefully they come out and be great for us being loud and being proud, so I’m excited to see that.”
