The Houston Texans defense came to work in Week 7.
The Texans’ punt unit backed up the Arizona Cardinals at their own 1-yard line in the first quarter. The Texans defense already generated two sacks of quarterback Kyler Murray to that point, and the defense didn’t disappoint with a tackle behind the goal line for a safety.
The scoring play put Houston ahead 2-0 and also gave the Texans a free kick. Houston was able to add to their lead on the ensuing drive with kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn nailing a 53-yard field goal.
Murray went into the blue medical tent after the play, but returned to the game.
