WATCH: Terry McLaurin scores Washington’s first touchdown in Week 4

Terry McLaurin scores Washington’s first touchdown of the day.

The Washington Football Team went down 10-0 early in the second quarter when Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan found Cordarelle Patterson for a wide-open touchdown.

Uh oh.

No worries, Washington has wide receiver Terry McLaurin. Immediately after Atlanta’s touchdown, the WFT offense went to work with quarterback Taylor Heinicke finding McLaurin two times on the drive, including a 33-yard touchdown pass to get Washington on the board.

It was a good throw by Heinicke, who understands when you need a play; find McLaurin, who caught the ball with two defenders in the area.

After his touchdown reception, McLaurin has three receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown in the first half.

The connection seemed to get Washington’s offense going as the offense scored another touchdown on its next drive to take a 13-10 lead. Unfortunately, kicker Dustin Hopkins missed the point-after attempt.
