The Falcons’ defense once again came up with a clutch play when the team needed, forcing their first turnover of the game in the fourth quarter against the New Orleans Saints.
Linebacker James Vaughters, who has been rotated between the practice squad and active roster, sacked Saints quarterback Trevor Siemian and forced a fumble. Steven Means picked up the ball and nearly scored a touchdown. The Falcons’ offense would finish the job on the very next play when Matt Ryan connected with Olamide Zaccheaus to give Atlanta a 24-6 lead with just over 10 minutes to play.
