Watch: Steph Curry working on new dance inspired by E-40’s ‘Verzuz’ performance

After Bay Area rap icons E-40 and Too Short battled in the latest edition of “Verzuz,” Steph Curry showed off a new dance celebration.

Adding to the lore of his renowned shot from beyond the arc, Stephen Curry’s post jumper shimmy has grown part of his signature long-distance jumper. However, the two-time Most Valuable Player might have a new celebration for the 2020-21 campaign.

On Saturday, Bay Area music icons E-40 and Too $hort joined forces for the latest “Verzuz” rap battle. While each rapper performed snippets from their storied music catalog, E-40 and Too $hort were showing off different dance moves. During the performance, Curry was taking note.

After the show ended, the point guard was asked on Twitter about replacing his signature shimmy with one of E-40’s moves from Verzuz. The six-time All-Star replied with a video featuring an E-40 inspired dance.

Before the Verzuz battle was underway, Curry joined E-40 on a FaceTime call to preview the event and make a song request.

Curry will have his first chance at displaying his new set of dance moves on Tuesday in New York when the Warriors open the 2020-21 regular season against the Brooklyn Nets.
