Watch: Steph Curry breaks out classic shimmy celebration after iron shot on the golf course

While his shimmy is usually reserved for a long-distance 3-pointer, Steph Curry brought his signature celebration to the golf course.

After landing in sixth place following round one of the 2021 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood resort in Lake Tahoe, Steph Curry was back on the golf course on Saturday.

The Golden State Warriors point guard tallied 21 points in the tournament’s modified Stableford system in the opening round while playing in a pairing with his father and brother. Then, on day two, Curry laced his spikes with NFL veterans Larry Fitzgerald and Brian Urlacher.

During the second round of the tournament, Curry went into his bag for a classic celebration. While his signature shimmy celebration is usually reserved for a long-distance 3-pointer, the 33-year-old guard brought it to the golf course. After smashing an iron shot out of the tee box, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player broke out his shimmy dance.

Curry finished round two with a trio of birdies in the front nine. However, Curry registered three bogeys and one double-bogey on the day. The seven-time All-Star guard finished the day with a 74 (+2). Curry notched 18 points in round two for the tournament’s scoring system.

On Sunday, Curry will head into the tournament’s final round in a tie for sixth place. The 2021 NBA scoring champ trails the tournament leader John Smoltz by 12 points with 18 holes to play.
