The future of the San Antonio Spurs organization changed in the span of just a few short months this year. They won the NBA Draft Lottery, landing the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and earned the rights to select Victor Wembanyama – a generational talent who is set to be the face of the franchise in San Antonio for years to come.

Now, he’s set to become one of the faces of the NBA, as he’s already a star on and off the court. And, being from France, Wembanyama wants fans to learn how to pronounce one specific word.

When doing media with Bleacher Report, Wembanyama was asked to choose one French words he wants fans to learn how to pronounce. After taking a while to think of something, Wembanyama landed on the word “croissant.”

He made sure to emphasize the fact that he wants fans to pronounce it correctly, though, revealing the French pronunciation of the word.

While most of the hype around Wembanyama has been because of his insane talent on the court – he is 7-foot-5 and can do a little bit of everything – he is also a star off the court.

Wembanyama seems ready to step into the spotlight in the NBA. From the way he carries himself, to his personable nature, to the way he handles media. Everything about him screams megastar.
