Oklahoma has almost come to be known for their dazzling trick plays, especially in primetime games. Saturday night’s Bedlam game was no exception as Lincoln Riley called on the wildcat to put Oklahoma up 34-13 in the fourth quarter.
Once again, the Sooners appear dominant in the series and walk away with a blowout victory as Spencer Rattler throws for 301 yards on 17-24 passing with four touchdowns. Rhamonsdre Stevenson finished with 141 yards on 26 carries.
Mike Gundy moves to 2-14 against Oklahoma while Lincoln Riley improves to 4-0 in the series. More importantly, the win shifts Oklahoma into a second-place tie alongside Texas and Oklahoma State. With the Sooners owning head-to-head wins over both the Cowboys and the Longhorns, Oklahoma is currently in the drivers’ seat to appear in the Big 12 championship game against the first-place Iowa State Cyclones.
Barring a one doomsday scenario or a major upset victory by a team in the bottom-half of the Big 12, Oklahoma has officially regained control of the their own destiny.
