With training camp for the Philadelphia 76ers set to begin in roughly four weeks, players are getting final reps and final workouts in to prepare for the real thing.
For young guard Tyrese Maxey, that means continuing to add to his already impressive game for a young player. While he has a quick first step and he can get to the basket at will, he needs to add a reliable jumper to mix in with his speed.
Maxey has continued working on his 3-point shot to come back a more complete player out on the floor. The young guard out of Kentucky is working with Chris Johnson, daily, to get the summer reps needed.

Maxey shot 30.1% from deep as a rookie, and if he can come back and become more of a 35% 3-point shooter, that adds another dynamic to Philadelphia’s offense. With Ben Simmons likely to be traded very soon, there will be more pressure on him to become more of an offensive threat for this team going forward.
