The future backcourt of North Carolina is in good hands thanks to some extremely talented players in the coming recruiting classes. [autotag]Seth Trimble[/autotag] is set for 2022 and in 2023, [autotag]Simeon Wilcher[/autotag] will enter the UNC program looking to be the next star Carolina point guard.
The Roselle Catholic (NJ) point guard is ranked No. 10 overall in the Rivals150 Class of 2023 rankings and No. 18 in the 247Sports rankings.
Wilcher helped Roselle Catholic to a New Jersey State Championship this season while averaging 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. He had 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the State Title game.
With AAU play beginning this past weekend, Wilcher took no time to make an impact, throwing down a huge dunk for New York Renaissance Hoops.

Wilcher committed to North Carolina on October 15 over programs such as Arkansas, Auburn, UConn, Illinois, Kansas, Memphis and many others.
“I really just felt like it was a second home,” Wilcher told Rivals of his commitment. “I was extremely comfortable from the moment I stepped on campus. That usually doesn’t happen. Immediately, I was like ‘Oh yeah. This is right. This is the place. Then you add in the lineage, and the legacy and the guards that come out of there. I knew it was right.”
The 6-foot-5 guard has the ability to play both on and off of the ball and will surely be a large part to UNC’s future success.
