There may not be a coach in the NFL who loves halftime leads more than Sean McVay. Need proof? Just look at how fired up he was after the Buccaneers missed a 55-yard field goal at the end of the second quarter, which would’ve cut into the Rams’ 14-7 lead.
It was a terrible miss and McVay was fired up that his squad was up by seven points against the defending Super Bowl champions at the break. It’s as excited and passionate as McVay has ever been since taking the job with Los Angeles, sprinting into the locker room with his players after high-fiving them on the field.

Can you tell McVay really wants to win this game and remain undefeated? Maybe he just knows he’s never lost a game that the Rams have led at halftime.
McVay was asked at halftime if he’s ever gone into the locker room at the break that fired up, to which he said, “I don’t think I ever have.”
