It’s been a trying year for Washington Commanders wide receiver Jahan Dotson. The 2022 first-round pick was a popular pick among analysts as one of the NFL’s breakout players for 2023.
Unfortunately, through the first seven games this season, Dotson has a combined 22 receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown.
Could Sunday’s game against the vaunted Philadelphia Eagles finally be Dotson’s breakout performance?
Before Sunday’s game, Dotson’s season-high in receiving yards was set against the Giants last week with 43 yards. He eclipsed that number in the first half on Sunday against the Eagles.
Before halftime, Dotson had five receptions for 73 yards; 21 came on this touchdown reception on a beautiful throw from Sam Howell.

Washington certainly hopes this is what Dotson needs to turn his season around.
