Jacy Abii has the potential to be a truly special talent in college basketball, the Rutgers women’s basketball recruit showing flashes this summer of her ability to take over a game.
Abii was offered by Rutgers in late September, with the Scarlet Knights joining a truly national recruitment for the talented guard. She plays for Liberty High School (Frisco, Texas) and is part of the class of 2026.
According to ESPN, Abii is the No. 9 recruit in the nation and a five-star.
This past summer, she was part of the team that represented the United States in the FIBA U16 Americas Championship.
Abii showing why she’s arguably the most explosive 2026 in the country! @JacyAbii is known for taking over games without even scoring. But in this clip Abii uses her athleticism and size to put her team up 17-15 in what seemed like just seconds. We see you kid! Keep working!!… pic.twitter.com/gFuOl2b0XC

Check out this highlight tape from this past summer of Abii scoring seven consecutive points in three possessions. It isn’t the scoring prowess that stands out (although it does), it is the versatility of Abii.
She shoots from distance, she plays defense and she can rebound effectively:
Last week, Abii took an official visit to LSU.
