Rutgers got off to a dream start, a 7-0 lead via some tough running from Isaih Pacheco. It was a huge start from the Scarlet Knights as they chase bowl eligibility.
A fumble recovery on the first play from scrimmage gave Rutgers tremendous field position at Indiana’s 21-yard line. Four plays later, Pacheco followed his blocking for an eight-yard touchdown run.
On second-and-goal, Pacheco shed two tacklers to plow into the end zone. For the senior running back, it was his fourth rushing touchdown of the season. It is also significant for Pacheco as his first quarter run is his first Big Ten touchdown of the season.

Rutgers came into the game 4-5 (1-5 Big Ten) after a bad loss at home last weekend to Wisconsin. For Indiana (2-7, 0-6 Big Ten), following last week’s 29-7 loss at a ranked Michigan.
The Scarlet Knights need two wins to become bowl eligibility for the first time since 2014.
