Watch: Rookie James Wiseman protects the rim with explosive block vs. Bucks

In the second quarter against the Milwaukee Bucks, Warriors rookie James Wiseman served as a rim protector with an explosive block.

After a rough three-game road trip, James Wiseman began a bounce-back run in the first half against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday at Chase Center. With one of the top Eastern Conference teams in the Bay Area, the 2020 second overall pick was active in the first half.

Following a fast start, Wiseman helped lead the Warriors with a double-double in the first half. The Memphis product notched 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor with 10 boards. In 15 minutes, Wiseman added an assist and one powerful block.

With a flurry of notable dunks filling most of Wiseman’s rookie season highlight reel, the 20-year-old recorded a flashy play on the defensive side of the floor.

As Milwaukee’s Bryn Forbes drove to threw the lane toward the basket, Wiseman flew to protect the rim. Wiseman leaped to erase the potential layup from Forbes with a spike dunk off the backboard.
