Sometimes one has to wonder if athletes think.
The Baltimore Ravens’ Marcus Peters picked off Ryan Tannehill in the final two minutes Sunday against the Tennessee Titans in an AFC Wild-Card game.
Peters did the smart thing by sliding down rather than risking a fumble after a short return.

Then, he and his defensive teammates made an incredibly foolish — but predictable — move. They all ran to the Titans’ logo at midfield and slid and danced and stomped on it.

Penalty flag flies. The Titans had all three timeouts, so if they managed to stop Baltimore they could have gotten the ball back.
Not like those 15 yards could help in a seven-point game.
John Harbaugh should be ballistic.
This was revenge for what happened in Baltimore in November. However, if it cost the Ravens in the long run, it was foolhardy.
