The Los Angeles Rams know it’s going to be tough to beat the San Francisco 49ers with field goals, so Sean McVay gambled on fourth down deep in enemy territory.
On fourth-and-1 from the 49ers’ 2-yard line, McVay called the perfect play to get Tyler Higbee open in the end zone. Matthew Stafford faked the handoff to perfection, drawing everyone up, and Higbee leaked out uncovered for the touchdown.
Take a look at the play below, which put the Rams up 10-0 on the 49ers early in the second quarter.
