Henry Ruggs III is more than just a speed receiver. And the Raiders can’t wait to show everyone that this season. But until then, we will have settle for highlight clips from practice.
Ruggs has already made a few spectacular plays at practice, but none better than the one the team tweeted out earlier on Friday afternoon. Take a look at this phenomenal one-handed grab by the former Alabam star:

While the pads haven’t come on yet, it’s easy to see that Ruggs is already impressing the coaching staff and the rest of the team. If Ruggs can be relied up to make these kinds of contested catches on game day, he will quickly develop into Derek Carr’s favorite target.
Look for the rookie receiver to have a big role for the Raiders this season as the team is cross-training him at multiple spots on offense. Don’t be surprised if Ruggs functions as the team’s No. 1 receiver sooner rather than later.
