Watch: Philadelphia Eagles coverage bust leads to first points from Washington

Dwayne Haskins connects with tight end Logan Thomas to get Washington on the board.

The Washington Football Team got off to a slow start as the 2020 NFL season unfolded, but their first points of the season came late in the first half as a coverage bust from the Philadelphia Eagles’ secondary led to their first points.

Washington send a receiver in motion before the snap, and then flare the running back out to the flat. That creates the confusion in the Philadelphia secondary, who left Logan Thomas, the tight end, uncovered for the easy throw from quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

With the first half coming to a close, the Eagles still have a ten-point lead. But with their offense line struggling to protect quarterback Carson Wentz, the home team is not out of this contest just yet.
