The Chicago Bulls got an electric win on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Lakers, 118-108.
With LeBron James making his return for the Lakers, the Bulls spoiled his first game back after missing the last 13 games due to a right foot injury.
In the fourth quarter with just over one minute remaining, Patrick Beverley drove down the middle of the lane, meeting James, before he spun and hit a floater over the league’s all-time leading scorer.
Following the bucket, Beverley gave the ‘too small’ hand gesture towards James as he essentially hit the dagger, clinching the win for the Bulls.
Beverley, who was traded from the Lakers to the Orlando Magic before being bought out and signed by the Bulls, is happy to be home in Chicago and being used the right way.
“If I’m a spoon, Billy (Donovan) is using me as a spoon. With the Lakers, I was a spoon and they were using me as a fork,” Beverley said. “It’s just different.”
