Sean Clifford tossed a long touchdown pass to Jahan Dotson in the first quarter. Early in the second quarter, Clifford connected with Penn State’s second-best receiver to extend the lead over Villanova.
One play after being sacked by the Villanova defense at the start of the second quarter, Clifford connected with Parker Washington who split over the middle of the Wildcats defense. After making the catch, Washington used his speed to his advantage as he raced down the field for the 52-yard touchdown.

Both of Clifford’s touchdown passes covered 52-yards, although in a different way. The touchdown pass to Dotson was a deep ball to a streaking Dotson. Clifford’s pass to Washington was over the middle.
