Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers drove his team 42 yards in 34 seconds, giving veteran kicker Mason Crosby three seconds to hit a game-winning 51-yard field goal as time expired to beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
The NFL provided footage of Rodgers watching the field goal attempt and his celebration immediately after the kick sailed through the uprights.
The 37-year-old quarterback leaped for joy and embraced several different coaches as he made his way to the on-field celebration surrounding Crosby.
“Felt good about him nailing that,” Rodgers said.
The Packers led 17-0 but found themselves down 28-27 after the 49ers marched down the field for the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Leaving Rodgers and Crosby with 37 seconds was the only mistake.
