Just like his call with Julius Peppers, Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper was taken aback at how good Muhsin Muhammad looks in retirement. And in a few months from now, he’ll look even better with the title “Panthers Hall of Honor inductee” at the beginning of his name.
On Thursday, Carolina’s social media squad revealed the very moment in which Muhammad received his call to the Bank of America Stadium hall from Tepper. Take a look:

Moose was selected by the Panthers with the 43rd overall pick of the 1996 NFL draft. The Michigan State University product would slowly but surely make his mark, becoming a Pro Bowler for the first time in his fourth career campaign.
He’d then spend the next five in Charlotte—adding another Pro Bowl nod, a First-team All-Pro selection and a Super Bowl XXXVIII appearance to his résumé. His first stint with the organization, which lasted nine years, left him as the franchise’s all-time leading receiver (7,751 yards) at the time.
After a three-year stop with the Chicago Bears, Muhammad returned to Carolina for the final two season of his pro tenure. He finished his Panthers career with 696 receptions, 9,255 yards and 50 touchdowns.
Muhammad, along with his former teammate Peppers, will officially be inducted into the Hall of Honor at halftime of the team’s Week 8 contest on Oct. 29.
