Michigan State football will not be bowling, yet again, this holiday season.
The Spartans put out one final disappointing performance to end the 2024 regular season with a blowout loss against Rutgers. Michigan State lost the game by the final score of 41-14.
Michigan State came into this game needing a win over the Scarlet Knights to reach bowl eligibility. With the loss, Michigan State will extend its bowl drought to three years, which is now the longest active streak in the Big Ten.
Michigan State finishes the season with a 5-7 overall record and 3-6 mark in Big Ten play.
