The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a huge splash earlier this week, re-signing five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans to a new two-year contract extension that should ensure he’s able to finish his legendary NFL career where it started.
Despite having to develop chemistry with a new starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield last season, Evans turned in one of the best seasons of his career in 2023, catching 79 passes for 1,255 yards and a league-high 13 touchdown receptions.
Evans extended his NFL-record streak of 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons to start his career, and helped lead the Bucs to a third consecutive NFC South title.
