North Carolina Tar Heels and NBA legend Michael Jordan had plenty of playoff experience in his basketball career. And now, he’s getting that experience on the NASCAR circuit as well.
Jordan is one of owners of 23XI Racing and both of his drivers are heading to the playoffs after the regular season has wrapped up. Tyler Reddick earned his spot with a win earlier this season and fellow 23XI Racing teammate Bubba Wallace is joining him.
Following the Coke Zero Sugar 400 race on Saturday, the 16-driver field for the NASCAR Cup Series playoff is set. Wallace finished in the final spot with enough points to get in and Jordan celebrated with him:

The first race in the playoff series is Sunday at the Southern 500 in Darlington Raceway. Following that race, there will be two more in the round of 16 with races at the Kansas Speedway (Sept. 10) and Bristol Motor Speedway (Sept. 16).
The field will be cut down to 12 after those races and then the round of eight before the Championship Race on November 5th.
