Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been training in Florida this offseason with a number of talented receivers. It seems like every day he’s adding either a former great, current, or up-and-coming NFL player to his list of targets. He has thrown passes to free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown, former NFL receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson, Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker, Denver Broncos draft pick Jerry Jeudy, and now he’s throwing passes to Kansas City Chiefs second-year WR Mecole Hardman.
Haskins’ personal photographer, Var Turner, captured Hardman running routes for Haskins. The video has a caption that’s very fitting for Hardman, take a look:

Hardman runs past the defensive back covering him in one-on-one coverage, showing off his speed. The video doesn’t show Hardman at the line of scrimmage, but he’s been working quite hard this offseason at getting better against press-man coverage. It’d stand to reason that the defensive back tried to press him. Haskins puts the ball only where Hardman can get it in the back of the endzone for six. For Hardman, it was reminiscent of when the two were playing together fresh out of high school.
Hardman and Haskins formerly were teammates on the U-19 U.S. National Football Team, prior to going to college. The two played together in the International Bowl against Canada in 2015. They even connected for a touchdown pass during that game.

Like Hardman said, “The connection ain’t never left.” In fact, Haskins is a bit jealous of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes having a target like Hardman.
It’s not fair honestly 😂 https://t.co/I7V3kjqhOG
