Boston Celtics veteran point guard Marcus Smart will get the ball put into his hands on an unprecedented level for his tenure with the Celtics this coming season, but to the Flower Mound native, it is anything but intimidating.
Speaking at the team’s annual Media Day events, the Oklahoma State product shared his feelings about being asked to step into the role of being the primary floor general for the Celtics in 2021-22. His position at the college level, Smart has almost always had a high-powered point guard ahead of him in the rotation until this season, limiting his opportunities to demonstrate just how good he can be at the one.
