WATCH: Lonzo Ball wreaks havoc defensively in Pelicans practice footage

Lonzo Ball showed out on both ends of the court in the practice footage released from Friday by the New Orleans Pelicans.

While footage of the New Orleans Pelicans’ practices has been rare, some of the most recent footage released should make Lonzo Ball fans excited. Video from Thursday’s practice showed Ball being a menace defensively, flying around the court and coming away with multiple steals leading to fastbreak scores.

On top of the defensive highlights, Ball also had some highlights of the other end. Ball assisted Brandon Ingram’s made three-pointer, knocked down an open spot-up three-pointer and showed off his once-trademarked step-back three-pointer for another score as well.

It’s an early encouraging sign for Ball and Pelicans fans of what may be in store for the third-year guard. Ball was playing the best basketball of his career, which head coach Alvin Gentry recently noted as well, prior to the season being put on pause.

Ball discussed during his media availability upon returning to the practice facility in New Orleans that he did not have access to a gym for the entirety of the lockdown. To see him able to step back onto the court with his team and contribute like this is a big positive as the Pelicans look to make a run at the playoffs once the season restarts.
