WATCH: Lonzo Ball swipes five steals, scores 16 points in win vs. Spurs

Lonzo Ball brought his best on the defensive end on Sunday against the Spurs, nabbing five steals to go with 16 points in a victory at home.

While offense was hard to come by for both the Pelicans and Spurs on Sunday, Lonzo Ball brought his best on the defensive end. Ball finished with five steals, helping New Orleans to a 98-95 victory.

Ball stuffed the stat sheet as a whole against San Antonio, scoring 16 points on 7-of-14 field goal shooting and 1-of-5 shooting from range while adding eight rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Ball was one of four double-figure scorers for the Pelicans. Brandon Ingram led the team with 28 points, Zion Williamson had 18 points and Josh Hart had 12.

The bulk of Ball’s work came in the middle quarters. He scored 11 points, hit five of his six shots and had three steals, all in the third period.

Sunday also marked the second strong showing of the regular season for Ball in three games and continues what has been a great start dating to the beginning of training camp and the preseason.
