Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson have not only quickly formed a bond in New Orleans but have made the Pelicans must-watch television in the progress. Williamson’s blend of size and athleticism is complemented perfectly by Ball’s high IQ. This combination has been most evident in their full-court alley-oops that have become their highlight play in their short span together.
Like Pelican fans, Ball has bought into the excitement and shared a highlight video on his Instagram of the 19 games the two played together this season.
Ball and Williamson each have talked about playing with one another this season. During an appearance on the JJ Redick podcast during the quarantine, Ball talked about never playing with an athlete like Williamson during his brief career.
Williamson, meanwhile, has talked often about Ball’s passing ability and his basketball IQ. Most recently he did so during a film breakdown during a Pelicans Playback segment during the quarantine.
