Amid trade rumors, Lonzo Ball had his best performance of the season and one of his best in New Orleans on Friday against Milwaukee. Ball tied his career-high with seven 3-pointers and his Pelicans single-game high with 27 points in a 131-126 win over the Bucks.
Ball had a huge third quarter that fueled his big night. To open the second half, Ball went 4-for-5 from 3-point territory and scored 14 total points with an assist. In the fourth, Ball tallied three assists, a rebound and a steal while knocking down a dagger 3-pointer late in the game.
Friday was the third time Ball has scored at least 27 points in his career, the other two occurrences coming against Houston last season and in the second game of his career against the Suns. It was also the fourth time he’s hit at least seven 3-pointers, all of those coming in New Orleans.
