When you’re a WWE champion, life is good in a lot of ways. In the case of Liv Morgan, it’s paid off in a unique connection with the fans, but also because it’s allowed her to indulge more in one of her passions: sneakers.
As evidence, Morgan joined the Complex “Sneaker Shopping” show as a guest this week, following in the footsteps of WWE superstars like Roman Reigns, The New Day and Shane McMahon, who have all appeared on previous episodes. But the SmackDown Women’s Champion may have outdone all of them in terms of pure enthusiasm for the sneaker game, as well as her bill when she got to choosing new pickups from Stadium Goods in NYC.
Peep the video below to see how Morgan got to a bill of more than $11,000 — with her final haul including pairs she picks out as gifts for her sister and others, along with some expensive, highly coveted sneakers like Off-White x Air Jordan 4s and Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Mochas.”
Along with wearing sneakers often outside the ring, Morgan has a long history of wrestling in sneakers that dates back to her arrival at the WWE Performance Center. She’s also had custom pairs made for specific WWE events, explaining to “Sneaker Shopping” host Joe La Puma how she had Air Jordan 1s turned into boots for WWE Day 1 at the beginning of 2022.
And while Morgan may or may not be the person most responsible for making wrestling while wearing high end sneakers cool, she’s definitely right up there with any of her contemporaries when it comes to respect for and knowledge of the sneaker game. As she says toward the end of the episode, “I may not have been the first sneakerhead in WWE, but I think I might be the best.”
After watching her shop, it’s hard to argue with that.
