The Detroit Lions swiftly got on the scoreboard in SoFi Stadium in a display of boldly aggressive football. The Lions seized a 10-0 lead on the Rams before Los Angeles even got their first offensive snap.
The fun began with a perfectly executed screen pass from Jared Goff to D’Andre Swift on 3rd-and-9. The Rams blitzed the house, and it left a lot of room for Swift to take it to the house. The 63-yard catch-and-run gave the Lions a 7-0 lead and their first touchdown before halftime since Week 2.

Just for good measure, the Lions went for the onside kick following the conversion — and it worked! Tracy Walker recovered the beautifully executed kick by K Austin Seibert.

Dan Campbell wasn’t done yet. Punter Jack Fox completed a pass on fourth down to catch the Rams off-guard. It set up a Seibert field goal and gave the Lions a 10-0 lead.
