WATCH: Lee Corso throws on Buffs headgear to close ‘College GameDay’

WATCH: The great Lee Corso threw on the Buffaloes headgear to close “College GameDay”

As the party rages on in Boulder for Saturday’s Rocky Mountain Showdown between Colorado and Colorado State, the Buffs received some love from the legendary Lee Corso.

The closing segment of ESPN’s “College GameDay” features its analysts giving their picks for that day’s slate of games. As always, Corso closes the show by picking the game that’s taking place in the host city and throwing on that team’s mascot headgear. With “College GameDay” in Boulder this week, Corso picked Colorado and then threw on Chip’s headgear.

Corso’s pick was a special one: It was his 400th career headgear selection.

As ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit put it, Corso was playing “heel” (a wrestling term for villain) by wearing CSU stickers on his face for the entirety of the show. But when the hat pick came, Corso picked the Buffaloes to win — just like he did in 1997.

Watch below to see Corso, Dwayne “The Rock” and the rest of the “GameDay” staff picked CU to win the Rocky Mountain Showdown.
