KJ Jefferson was the preseason second-team All-SEC quarterback for a reason.
Saturday, late in Arkansas’ game against Florida, he showed why.
Jefferson led Arkansas on a 10-play, 84-yard drive that spanned 3:27 and gave the Razorbacks a 30-26 lead over the Gators with 4:26 left.
The senior quarterback ran for 55 of those 84 yards on the go-ahead drive, practically willing Arkansas along the way by converting both third downs. Isaiah Sategna helped, too, as the redshirt freshman caught three balls on the series.
Arkansas entered Saturday’s game in Gainesville not only winless all-time in the Swamp, but also winless on the season in the SEC. The Razorbacks need to win each of their remaining games to earn bowl eligibility.
Florida regained the lead on its ensuing drive.
KJ Jefferson runs it in the from the 25-yard line, TOUCHDOWN ARKANSAS!! #Razorbacks retake the lead 30-26!! What a drive!! #WPS
