As Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson heads into his second season as starter, he has some new armor.
The Hogs junior has an NIL deal with Arkansas-based Armor Bank for the upcoming season, according to a tweet from the bank. Financial terms were not immediately disclosed.
Jefferson completed 67.3 percent of his passes for 2,676 yards with 21 touchdowns and four interceptions last year. On top of that, he ran for a team-high 664 yards and six touchdowns.
Jefferson led Arkansas to a 9-4 record, its best since 2011, in 2021, capping the season with a win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl. Largely because of all that, he’s expected to be named to a preseason All-SEC team when they’re announced later this week at SEC Media Days.

Armor Bank chairman Mark Waldrip announced the deal.
“In Arkansas, we all know KJ Jefferson’s name. As a community bank, names are important to us,” he said in a press release.” We are excited to have KJ on our team. This relationship will highlight our shared priorities of speed, agility and strength.”
Jefferson will be a part of two autograph signings later this month in Forrest City and Little Rock as part of the deal. The dates are July 28 and July 29.
