ESPN’s College Gameday debuted for the 2020 season in a unique way as the several contributors looked more a part of an office Zoom meeting than they did part of the Saturday morning tradition that is the show each fall.
The show featured much discussion about the season, some hosts offering doubts as to if the season will be played as scheduled as the slate of games this Saturday wasn’t exactly an impressive one since no Power Five programs were kicking off.
The most powerful moment of the show came when discussing social injustices in the United States, Kirk Herbstreit got emotional in explaining why we all have to do more, whether we think some of these issues have to do with us or not.
“You can’t relate to that if you’re white, but you can listen and you can try to help because this is not okay.”

It’s emotional, powerful and an all-time real moment on this season’s College Gameday premier.
