WATCH: Kevin McHale: 2021 Celtics ‘need to make each other better’

The Celtic icon had some words of advice for today’s talented version of his former team.

“Hang in there,” says Boston Celtics legendary big man Kevin McHale, “and make each other better.”

The three-time Celtic champion sent that message to the current iteration of his former team after their struggles in the first half of a season Boston hoped to be contending. An accomplished coach as well as a player, the Hall of Fame big man knows a thing or two about how to help hold a talented young team together to achieve greatness on both sides of the clipboard. Speaking with former teammate and fellow Celtic champ Cedric Maxwell on a recent episode of the eponymous podcast of the latter’s, McHale had some words of encouragement for today’s Boston roster.

Watch the clip embedded below to hear the Celtic icon’s words for yourself while we wait for the second half of the season to kick off this Thursday, March 11 against the Brooklyn Nets on the road.
