Up until recently, the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant had said the superstar forward wasn’t expected to play in 2019-20, leaving a little room for hope. Then, shortly after the All-Star break, Durant ruled himself out for the remainder of the season.
Even though Nets fans won’t get the chance to see Durant wear a Brooklyn uniform in a game this season, that doesn’t mean the superstar forward hasn’t made progress with the rehab of his surgically repaired right Achilles, which he ruptured in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals when he was still a member of the Golden State Warriors.
Durant has been seen running, shooting around, making moves — he’s been able to do a lot on a basketball court.
At Brooklyn’s practice on Tuesday, Durant was seen taking pull-up jumpers, which were lightly contested:

Durant still needs time, but it looks like things are progressing well for the forward.
