Boston Celtics All-Star point guard finally broke through the Miami Heat’s zone defense in Game 3 of the Celtics Eastern Conference Finals series to help Boston get in the win column.
The UConn product scored 21 points and 6 rebounds on a sizzling 8-of-16 shooting (including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc) in 41 minutes of game time to help power the Celtics to a 117 – 106 win.
Boston is now two wins to one loss in the series so far, with the action set to resume in Game 4 on Wednesday, the Monday Night Football -induced extra break likely a boon to the Celtics’ tired legs.
Boston has not had as much rest as their opponents after going seven games in the East Semis vs. the Toronto Raptors, Miami having gentleman’s swept the Milwaukee Bucks.
