Since joining the Golden State Warriors, Kelly Oubre Jr. has struggled to find a rhythm with his jump shot. Through 20 games in the Bay Area, Oubre Jr. is shooting 37.2% from the field and 22.8% from beyond the arc.
Despite his jumper, Oubre Jr.’s explosive athleticism has provided some highlight-reel dunks at the start of the season. On Tuesday night at Chase Center, the 25-year-old wing added a vicious dunk against the Boston Celtics to his resume.
After catching a pass from Steph Curry on a baseline cut, Oubre Jr. rose over Celtics center Daniel Theis for a poster-worthy one-handed spike. The Boston big was unsuccessful when trying to meet Oubre Jr. at the rim for a block.

Oubre Jr.’s nasty dunk sparked an impressive opening quarter for the Warriors against the Celtics. With Curry’s 17 first-quarter points, Golden State jumped out to a 35-24 lead over Boston in the first quarter. Oubre Jr. added seven points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field with an assist in seven minutes.
