Former LSU wide receiver [autotag]Kayshon Boutte[/autotag] made his presence felt in his second preseason game with the New England Patriots.
Though he only made two catches, he ultimately led the team in receiving with 49 yards, and he managed to score the first touchdown of his professional career when quarterback Bailey Zappe found him on a route over the middle. Boutte flashed his ability after the catch as he was able to run it in and score a 42-yard touchdown.
That second-quarter score ultimately proved to make the difference in a 21-17 win for New England over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night.

Boutte entered his final season at LSU with high expectations in 2022. Coming off an injury, he never quite established himself. Still, he became a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, and he’s positioned to make the roster in New England after a couple of impressive outings.
