Jim Rome continues his interview tour of the Denver Broncos’ secondary.
About a week after Denver cornerback Pat Surtain appeared on The Jim Rome Show, Broncos safety Kareem Jackson made an appearance as well.
In an interview with Rome on Monday, Jackson spoke about new head coach Sean Payton, quarterback Russell Wilson and more.
“It’s great to have a captain like that running your ship,” Jackson said of Payton. “It should be a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to it.”
Jackson was later asked about the possibility of Wilson having a better season in 2023 after struggling in 2022.
“It’s all about how you bounce back,” Jackson said. “I think Russell Wilson has that toughness and the mindset and the mentality to bounce back. And obviously having Coach Sean Payton is going to be huge for him as well. … I think he’ll definitely help Russell to get back to where he’s always been in this league.”
The segment about Payton and Wilson can be seen in the below video.
