WATCH: Josh Harris fired up ahead of Commanders’ season opener

Harris said Sunday “feels like a playoff game.”

The Washington Commanders held a season kickoff party Friday in Washington, D.C., just two days before they begin the 2023 regular season against the Arizona Cardinals.

Owner Josh Harris was in attendance, and he spoke to the crowd.

“Are you guys ready for some football?” Harris asked the crowd.

“Are you guys ready for Sunday? Are you guys ready to kick some Cardinal a–?”

The crowd, of course, responded enthusiastically.

Another win for Harris.

Harris would then go on to thank the fans and the community for embracing him and the team. And, much like some of Washington’s players said this week, Harris was encouraging fans to show up to FedEx Field and be loud. Be that “12th man,” as Harris said Friday.

Harris also held a roundtable with local reporters and said Sunday feels “like a playoff game.”

Fans would agree. The Commanders are treating Week 1 like a big deal, and they should. A new era begins on Sunday.
